On many projects large and small there can be the need for subcontractors to have their own subs. If this is a known occurrence, there is an easy entry that can be made within Success Estimator to accommodate the additional markup costs. As an example we’ll use a Sitework subcontractor who is subcontracting Demolition.
The SITEWORK subcontractor Markup assignments look like this…
The DEMOLITION sub-subcontractor is entered as usual, then add the SITEWORK Markup assignments to the bottom of the list. You can use Copy and Paste, but it is a good idea to include additional detail in the Description field to help keep a record of the work. See below…
The Demolition subcontractor Code “SS DEM” is then assigned to the appropriate Detail Item Assignments. The markups are accurately compounded in numerical order 1-4 and the markups show up in the Subcontractor category in all reports.
