Atlanta, Georgia, USA - November 20, 2008 - U.S. COST, a leading provider of estimating and cost management software, has released its latest software release, Success Enterprise 8.1, a multi-user, web-based estimating system that allows organizations to manage their entire estimating and cost management practice from any Internet connected computer, anywhere in the world.
Typically hosted internally and deployed via a customer’s intranet, Success Enterprise 8.1 provides real time estimate creation, collaboration and analysis to all project stakeholders by using a centralized SQL Server database. The environment allows unparalleled data management and estimate warehousing for thousands of projects across an enterprise. Not only does it increase the ability to collaborate within the estimating group itself, it also facilitates better communication to other groups within a company as well as with that company’s clients.

Version 8.1 also provides a new “ad-hoc” reporting tool powered by Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. Expanding on the already powerful query capabilities in Success Enterprise, the new reporting device will provide users of all different skill sets and business needs the ability to quickly and easily build, execute and re-use reports. In addition to building standard reports which may be utilized routinely by an organization, this tool will also allow users to rapidly extract information from a single project, multiple projects or the entire centralized database of estimates and cost libraries

Upgraded to the latest Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework, Success Enterprise 8.1 includes a number of additional new features including support for Active Directory, ERP type cost roll-ups and table driven “combo-boxes” for increased productivity.
