All estimates are housed in the Success Enterprise database which allows portfolio management and analysis of all estimates in the organization. This information can be used for planning and procurement to manage long lead time items and negotiate prices based on future requirements, as well as globally analyze currency and commodity movements and their affects on all their projects. The solution also affords the client the ability to analyze risk within the estimating tool and properly detail contingency values. The centralization of cost data within the Success Enterprise database, combined with the use of standard coded assemblies allows the organization to easily move this data to other internal consumers of the data. As the estimated projects become reality, the organization can produce a meaningful schedule of rates to compare the actuals received from contractors. This can be used to evaluate earned value as well as further enhance their assembly cost libraries.
