RIB Group signs iTWO Phase I Deal for International Arrivals Facility (IAF) Project at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Atlanta, GA, 27 June 2014. RIB Group today announced they have signed a Phase I Agreement that will use iTWO 5D Big Data Technology and RIB iTWO experts to develop virtual estimate at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

The Port of Seattle owns and operates the Seattle-Tacoma International the nation’s 15th busiest – handling more than 34.7 million passengers in 2013, while the Air Cargo operations ranks 21st in the U.S. The IAF project will consist of a 22,000 square-meter area for the CBP Processing facility. The project includes renovation of existing concourse to provide a sterile corridor to new international gates, among other project elements.

RIB’s 5D Big Data Technology and New Thinking and New Working Methods will be utilized by the Project Controls team to develop the Program estimate and Schedule. The iTWO virtual to physical platform will provide the Port the ability to validate the budget establish a control baseline. Regarding this Phase I deal to use iTWO for this project, Charles Aguirre, CEO of the RIB U.S. Team says “RIB is very excited to leverage our technology to enable the project team to visualize the project scope, cost and schedule using the iTWO 5D BIM technology. The results will provide a reliable means from which the IAF program can be controlled against project overruns.”
