As British Nuclear Group considered the management of the 2004/2005 Near Term Work Plan, an in-depth view of scope and services to be provided over the next 3 years, a need was identified to improve communications between the estimating and planning groups. By adopting both Success Estimator and Schedule Exchange from the U.S. COST product suite a solution was developed that provided a seamless link between the cost estimate and the P3e schedule. The ability to transfer cost and resource information quickly and easily between systems allowed the client to successfully develop a "One-Way" system approach to program management and project controls.
